Sniff out satellite
signals like an airport dog
with this G-Force
Antenna STiK
Industry
insiders agree: The best place to locate a GPS antenna is under
clear view of the broadcast satellites. You see them all the time on the
big corporate rigs, running like vertebrae along the dorsal spine of the
aircraft.
Now you can enjoy
the pulling power of an external antenna in the convenience of the
G-Force Antenna STiK.
What convenience?
External antennas are really expensive. You’ll pay your A-P
mechanic big bucks to drill a leaky hole in your airplane, then tear
apart the cabin to run the wire lead.
You’ll achieve the
same performance –at little or no installation cost- with the
G-Force
Antenna STiK.
Where to look
Cessna aircraft
offer the perfect location for the Antenna STiK, in the two bolts
that secure the sun visor to the airframe crossmember that runs
across the cockpit at the top of the windshield. (See image insert) Simply
unscrew the securing bolts, slide them through the STiK base plate,
then back through the sun visor.
Owners of other
makes can find similar mounting points throughout their cockpits.
What's to know
The
Antenna STiK uses a patented cast-aluminum ball-and-knuckle design.
Unlike plastic moldings that can distort and bend, these metal
castings will not let go until you loosen their grip.
The wing screw
located directly at the casting transmits tightening energy
directly to the knuckle and ball for unbeatable holding
power. The RAM mount and other competing products teeter on only one adjustment knob
at the center of a plastic shaft. That single knob must divide its
holding ability between the two ends and will waste that
energy as it travels along the shaft to the ends.
The Antenna STiK
equals the performance of an external antenna and surpasses it with
these features:
|
 |
Two
adjustment knobs, and wide-range
ball-and-knuckle joints -one located at
each end of the mount |
 |
Includes
two allen-screws and a wrench to replace the wing knobs, for
permanent installation |
 |
Specify
either two-hole base plate (for Cessna sun visor
application) or four hole base plate for other locations in
other models |
 |
Antenna
mounting plate holds both Garmin GPS antenna and XM radio
antenna. Includes mounting screws for XM antenna |
|
Stronger materials.
Better design. Twice the holding power of other mounts.
Turn your
portable GPS antennas into a permanent array.
Pair this G-Force
Antenna STiK with the G-Force GPS STiK for permanent heads-up navigation.
The G-Force Antenna Farm accepts antennas made
or distributed by Garmin International with its GPS models -396 and
-496.
Antennas are not included with purchase.
Michel DuBil, Marketeer does not sell
replacement antennas, but on request will recommend probable
sources. Attachment hardware is included where appropriate. Buyers can
